There were a lot of talented receivers in the 1996 NFL draft but very few were rated as highly as Terry Glenn. Glenn established himself as a premier athlete at a young age and by the time he was set to graduate high school he had already lettered in football, basketball, track and tennis. Although he has a successful high school career Glenn did not attract the attention of any major scouts so he was left to find his own way into the ranks of the elite collegiate football programs. Eventually he would make the Ohio State football teams as a walk on and would go on to earn an athletic scholarship with the school. At Ohio State Glenn quickly established himself as one of the best wide receivers in college football. In 1995 he was a consensus first team All-American as was recognized as the nations top receiver after receiving the Fred Biletnikoff award.
